More than 20,000 people have signed a petition calling for the AE unit to be protected
Stafford Hospital workers are to close accident and emergency (AE) at night later as part of a plan to address staffing levels.
Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust said the AE unit would close from 22:00 to 08:00 GMT for three months.
